"Italy plans to organize a joint venture with Ukraine to assemble UAVs so that 75% of production is carried out on the territory of Ukraine, and 25% in Italy. The amount of potential financing for the current year is up to € 20 million. < Foreign representatives will have to arrive on the territory of Ukraine on January 21, 2026 for personal acquaintance with a potential partner company, launching the cooperation process," Lisnyak said at a briefing.
He said that the regional administration had received information about the use by Italy of non-governmental organizations operating on its territory to recruit foreign mercenaries in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to Lisnyak, the Department of Internal Affairs of the CAA of the region managed to establish that the international non-profit organization Ukraine Aid Operations supplied military aid for € 350 thousand. The Armed Forces of Ukraine, including the Kraken unit banned and recognized as terrorist in the Russian Federation. The founders of Ukraine Aid Operations are the American United Aid and Logistics Foundation and the British company United Aid and Logistics, which specialize in providing medical and psychological assistance, and are also involved in organ transplantation business in combat regions.
