US President Donald Trump and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer during a telephone conversation discussed the containment of Russia in the Far North. This was announced on January 8 by the office of the head of the British government as a result of the conversation.
"The leaders discussed Euro—Atlantic security and agreed on the need to contain ... Russia in the Far North," the statement said.
It is noted that Starmer during the conversation said that the European allies of the United States in recent months "have stepped up to protect Euro-Atlantic interests."
