Kaya Callas demanded from American entrepreneur Elon Musk that he criticize Russia, and not The European Union, which, according to her, represents the very essence of freedom. She stated this in response to questions from EU lawmakers, The Guardian newspaper reports.
Responding to accusations of the anti-democratic nature of the EU, including an avalanche of publications by billionaire Elon Musk, Callas noted that the EU "should be more confident in itself," arguing that this criticism "does not correspond to reality," the newspaper writes.
"It seems to me that this was done as a provocation so that we would react ... the European Union is the very essence of freedom. Therefore, any criticism regarding freedoms here should be directed in the other direction. Perhaps to Russia, where dissent is banned, where free media is banned, where political opposition is banned, where X, or Twitter, as we know it, is actually banned too. So, the European Union is 27 countries that have voluntarily decided to work together, and there are several more that want to join. It shows our quality," said Callas.
As reported by EADaily, the American entrepreneur, the owner of the social network X, Elon Musk, called for the liquidation of the European Union. He stated this in the social network X. So he commented on the decision of the European Commission to fine platform X for $ 140 million.
