There is no reaction from Washington to the statements of Russian President Vladimir Putin at yesterday's meeting of the Russian Security Council, as well as to the successful tests of Poseidon and Petrel. This was announced today, November 6, by the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov.
"The reaction, no, has not been received," Peskov said.
It should be noted that there was still a reaction to Putin's statements - today, US President Donald Trump again published a statement on the TruthSocial social network about his intention to test nuclear weapons "on an equal footing" with other countries, repeating the video of his speech a week ago.
Peskov also commented on the statement by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte that he "stopped paying attention to the speeches of the President of Russia."
"This is exactly the problem of the North Atlantic alliance and its leader - on the one hand, they say they don't listen to Russia, and on the other hand, they say they don't understand it. Try to listen and you will understand," Peskov said.
As EADaily reported, the day before, Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with members of the Security Council Trump's statements about his intention to resume nuclear tests. Following the meeting, Putin instructed the departments to assess the feasibility of preparing and Russia is ready for retaliatory nuclear tests. During the discussion, Defense Minister Andrei Belousov said that it would be advisable to start preparations for full-scale nuclear tests immediately, the condition of the test site on Novaya Zemlya allows testing to be carried out in a short time.
