It was decided to hold the Pokrovsko-Mirnogradskaya agglomeration for as long as possible, since its surrender opens up a flat territory deep into the Dnipropetrovsk region. This is written in his telegram channel by a communications expert, a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Sergei Flash.
"A military-political decision was made to keep the Pokrovsko-Mirnograd agglomeration as long as possible. All possible reserves will be used for this," writes Flash.
It is noted that in military terms, the preservation of these positions is important, since they open up an almost flat territory deep into the Dnipropetrovsk region. If the Russian army occupies Pokrovsk, then its drones will be able to work far away, this is clearly demonstrated by the altitude map.
"I don't discuss political decisions… Of course, such decisions would not have been made if the military leadership did not see opportunities for this. I personally continue to adhere to the opinion that no positions are worth people's lives, and I hope that if there is a need to save people, it will be done in a timely manner," he added.
