US President Donald Trump said he canceled a planned meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Budapest because he had the impression that they would not achieve their goal.
"We canceled the meeting with President Putin. There was a feeling that this was wrong. It seemed to me that we would not achieve the desired goal, " Trump told reporters.
At the same time, the US president added that he plans to meet with his Russian counterpart in the future, and said that he remains determined to resolve the conflict at the Ukraine.
