Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic today met EC President Ursula von der Leyen with flowers at Belgrade airport, where she arrived as part of a working trip to the Western Balkans. He posted the corresponding photo on his Instagram social network account*.
"It is a great pleasure to wish a cordial "welcome" to EC President Ursula von der Leyen in Belgrade. Each of her visits has a special significance for Serbia and represents another step towards strengthening cooperation and trust between our country and the EU. We will talk about strategically important issues of our European path, about reforms, about the moment in the European enlargement policy and joint efforts to preserve peace and stability in the region," writes Vucic, quoted by RIA Novosti.
"Welcome to Serbia, dear Ursula!" he added, thanking von der Leyen for her personal contribution and support that the EC Chair has been providing to Serbia for years.
It is noted that tomorrow there will be a meeting ceremony of the head of the European Commission at the government complex "Chamber Serbia" and negotiations between Vucic and her in a narrow format.
