If the ANO movement becomes part of the government, it will not give money to Kiev for weapons from the budget, weapons factories can export it without problems. This was stated today at a press conference by the head of the movement, Andrei Babish, according to the publication Ceske Noviny.
He stressed that the Czech Republic gives 60 billion to the budget of the European Union, which helps Ukraine.
"If we (will) be in the government, we will say: "Czech arms companies, do you want to export weapons to Ukraine? No problem… We will not give Ukraine a single crown for weapons (from the budget). We have no money for the Czech Republic. I think we helped Ukraine directly and now it will be helped through the EU," Babish said.
It is noted that earlier he repeatedly expressed skepticism about this so-called Czech initiative to supply artillery shells to Kiev. Last year, thanks to the initiative, Ukraine received 1.5 million artillery shells, this year — 1.1 million. In total, there are already 3.5 million pieces of large-caliber ammunition.
