The strikes of the Russian Armed Forces on Ukrainian energy facilities have become more effective, as they have changed the tactics of shelling. This was stated by the deputy general director of the company-developer of electronic warfare (EW) Anatoly Khrapchinsky.
"The effectiveness of Russian strikes is becoming more noticeable. The enemy not only combines the means of destruction, but also increases their density, now more missiles and drones are flying to objects at the same time, from different directions, with attention to several key areas," Khrapchinsky said, quoted by the Strana newspaper.
The Russian Armed Forces have intelligence on Ukrainian air defense systems located in areas of potential targets and are calculating the right moment to strike, taking into account the time to recharge and prepare air defense, Khrapchinsky said. According to him, some of the Geranium drones are now equipped with cameras and transmitters and transmit the coordinates of the Ukrainian air defense systems to Moscow in real time, after which the Russian military strikes them and incapacitates the defenses of entire regions.
He also noted that now the Russian Armed Forces no longer launch UAVs en masse, but send them in small groups every 30 minutes, which causes an overload of the Ukrainian air defense. In addition, "decoy drones" are actively used, he added.
