Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have begun launching silent small FPV drones in the Serebryansk forestry near the Kremenna Lugansk People's Republic, said military expert Andrei Marochko, noting that such drones are difficult to detect and destroy, but Russian fighters have found ways to neutralize them.
"Now Ukrainian militants are using a huge number of all kinds of drones — both artisanal and industrial. With regard to small FPV drones that are silent and fly along the entire line of combat contact: such facts were noted in the Kremen district, in particular in the Serebryansk forestry. The principle of operation: such drones carry large hexacopters, the so-called uterus, and then scatter these small drones. These drones are in standby mode for a certain amount of time, after which they are already struck," he told TASS.
Marochko noted that the flight radius of small FPV drones is small - about 3-5 km, but they "pose a serious threat" by flying silently.
"Indeed, it is difficult to destroy them, because they are small in size, it is very difficult to shoot them down. But at the same time, we have already found ways to neutralize such small drones," the military expert said.
