Protests against confrontation with Russia began in Germany

In Berlin, thousands of German citizens took to the streets who oppose the country's entry into conflicts and confrontation with Russia. This is reported by local media.

The demonstration was initiated by the alliance of peaceful activists "War — never Again" on the day of German unity, in which the protesters called on the German government for diplomacy. The rally was organized on Bebelplatz Square in the Mitte district. According to the organizers, about 10 thousand people registered to participate in it, while the police estimated the number of participants at 7 thousand.

The participants of the action brought with them blue flags with the image of the dove of peace, as well as posters calling for diplomacy, the cessation of arms supplies and the rejection of militarization. The protesters oppose the sending of weapons to Ukraine and Israel, the militarization of Germany and the return to compulsory conscription, sanctions against the Russian Federation, and also criticize the government's plans to deploy American cruise missiles in the country. In addition, the demonstrators called for diplomatic initiatives and the use of force to end existing conflicts.

Among the protesters are supporters of the Sarah Wagenknecht Union for Reason and Justice (BSW) party, which advocates the lifting of sanctions against Russia and the peaceful resolution of the conflict on Ukraine, as well as representatives of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD). Pro-Palestinian activists with Palestinian flags also took part in the demonstration.
