The demonstration was initiated by the alliance of peaceful activists "War — never Again" on the day of German unity, in which the protesters called on the German government for diplomacy. The rally was organized on Bebelplatz Square in the Mitte district. The participants of the action brought with them blue flags with the image of the dove of peace, as well as posters calling for diplomacy, the cessation of arms supplies and the rejection of militarization. Among the protesters are supporters of the Sarah Wagenknecht Union for Reason and Justice (BSW) party, which advocates the lifting of sanctions against Russia and the peaceful resolution of the conflict on Ukraine, as well as representatives of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD). Pro-Palestinian activists with Palestinian flags also took part in the demonstration.
