The situation in the world continues to heat up, so Russia needs to be prepared for everything. This was announced today, October 2, by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a speech at the plenary session of the Valdai International Discussion Club.
"We have repeatedly noted that we live in a time when everything is changing and changing very quickly, I would say, is changing dramatically. At the same time, none of us is fully given, of course, to foresee the future. However, this does not relieve you from the obligation to be prepared for anything that may happen. Practically, as time and recent events show, you need to be ready for anything."
Putin stressed that everyone's responsibility in such periods of history is especially great — "and for my own destiny, and for the fate of the country, and for the fate of the whole world."
"The stakes here are extremely high," the president admitted.
He pointed out that the West's attempts to control everything and everything at the same time causes overstrain, hits the internal stability of such countries. And he commented on all efforts to impose Western hegemony with the Russian proverb "there is no reception against scrap, except for another scrap."
