For eight months of the year, oil and gas condensate production in Azerbaijan amounted to 18.39 million tons, Finmarket reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan. Compared to January-August last year, production decreased by 4.7%.
Earlier it was known that in the first half of the year production decreased by 1.5% to 14.47 million tons.
As EADaily reported, oil exports continue to be the country's main source of income. It accounts for 50.3% of export revenues. However, this is not at all the income that was ten years ago, when the country could afford to buy the latest types of weapons.
For example, in the first half of 2014, Azerbaijan supplied $ 13.4 billion worth of oil to world markets and revenues from the sale of raw materials were almost twice as high as the current $ 7.66 billion for the first half of 2025.
On the one hand, deposits are being depleted. On the other hand, world oil prices have declined. Only compared to last year, revenues fell by 17%.
