"On August 8, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation," the statement said.

The channel noted that the conversation was held on the initiative of the Russian side.

As reported by EADaily, presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said that the Kremlin is preparing for a meeting with US President Donald Trump. The place and time are still kept secret.
