Polish television is full of discussions on how Russia will violate the border of the European Union and who it will attack first — on Poland or the Baltic States.
So, the famous Polish TV journalist Zbigniew Parafyanovich wonders whether the "aggressive scenario of Russia" presupposes a violation of the airspace of the Baltic countries in order to intimidate them, the possibility of Russian troops entering Latvian, but Russian-speaking Daugavpils, or a land attack on Poland. Polish Foreign Minister Radek Sikorski explains to him:
"If they [the Russians] enter the Daugavpils, we will have a war because it will be an open aggression against NATO. However, there are other methods that Russia is already trying out. We have arson attacks, political assassinations, attacks on certain institutions, including Polish ones. I am reminded of the blocked Polish hospital in Krakow or an attempt to prevent the collection of taxes in Poland. And also interference with GPS signals."
The president of the Center for Strategic Analysis of Poland, former Polish diplomat Witold Jurash, asks the minister again, clearly relishing:
"But you can't rule out the scenario that Bialystok (a Polish city in the east of the country bordering Belarus. — EADaily) did [Russian] tanks enter?"
Sikorsky and then carries:
"I hope that the Russian generals, if such an order had been given, would have told their commander-in-chief that it would be a disaster for Russia, because that's the way it is!"
Finally, Sikorsky scares the Polish inhabitants with the upcoming Russian-Belarusian exercises "West".
"The exercises that we will soon face, namely the West, can be much more ambitious and have a much more aggressive scenario."
