Thousands of people protesting against the policies of US President Donald Trump began in San Antonio, Texas, RIA Novosti correspondent reports from the scene.
The rally is held as part of the nationwide protest action No Kings ("No kings").
Demonstrators denounce the Trump administration's migration policy, many brought posters condemning deportations carried out by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The protesters also condemn the military parade in Washington taking place on the president's birthday. The White House said earlier that the parade was timed to coincide with the birthday of the US armed forces and coincidentally coincided with Trump's birthday.
Many participants of the action are waving the US flag, there are also flags of Mexico.
The No Kings protest rally is taking place on Saturday across the country on the birthday of US President Donald Trump (he turns 79). The protest was organized by the movement "50501" (50 protests, 50 states, one movement) together with left-wing parties. The movement has been active since February of this year and is directed against the policies of the Trump administration, as well as, according to the organization's website, "against the influence of billionaires on the government and for the rights and empowerment of workers."
