If the West has really lifted restrictions on the range of weapons supplied to Kiev, this is a rather dangerous decision. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.
So he commented on the statement of the German Chancellor Friedrich Merz that there are restrictions on the range of the West sent to The Ukraine of weapons no longer exists.
"If such decisions really took place, they potentially run counter to our aspirations to reach a political settlement," Peskov told Kremlin Pool correspondent Alexander Yunashev.
As reported by EADaily, the German government, in coordination with the United Kingdom, the United States and France, lifted range restrictions on weapons transferred to Kiev, said German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
"There are no longer any restrictions in terms of the range of weapons supplied to Ukraine - neither from the UK, nor from France, nor from our side, nor from the United States. This means that Ukraine can now defend itself, including, for example, by striking military positions in Russia. Up to a certain point, she could not do this," the German chancellor said.
