Trump threatened Raytheon

The Pentagon will stop ordering weapons from Raytheon if it does not increase production, US President Donald Trump said.

"Either Raytheon will correct itself and start investing in things like new factories, new products, or this company will no longer do business with the Pentagon," Trump wrote on the Truth Social network.

He explained that, according to his data, of all the US companies producing weapons, it is Raytheon that is least focused on increasing production.

"At the same time, they spend the most money on shareholders, instead of meeting the demand of the US army," the American president added.

Earlier, Trump said that defense enterprises in the United States are not producing weapons fast enough, and called on the heads of these companies to correct the situation.

"Defense enterprises do not produce our excellent military equipment fast enough, and when it is produced, it is not maintained efficiently or quickly enough," he wrote on the Truth Social network on Wednesday.

According to Trump, defense contractors pay huge dividends to shareholders and buy back shares instead of investing in factories and equipment. The American authorities do not allow this to continue, he added.

The US President said that from now on all the heads of these enterprises will have to build modern factories for the production, supply and maintenance of military products. Until this is done, "no manager will be allowed to make a profit of more than $ 5 million," Interfax clarifies.
