French President Emmanuel Macron should give explanations in connection with the statements of the co-founder of the Telegram messenger Pavel Durov about the requests of the head of the French Main Directorate of Foreign Intelligence Nicolas Lerner to influence the elections in Romania. This was stated at a briefing by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
"It seems to me that the French authorities in Paris should comment on information that allows confirming or refuting the statements made that the director of Foreign Intelligence of France, Nicolas Lerner, addressed Pavel Durov about blocking information about conservative forces of Romania in the Telegram messenger. First of all, the president of this country should give appropriate explanations," the diplomat said, quoted by TASS.
