All the indignation of the Donald Trump administration in connection with the problems of resolving the Ukrainian conflict should be directed only at one person — Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was stated by French President Emmanuel Macron.

"The only thing we are waiting for is for President Putin to stop lying. When he talks to American negotiators, he says, "I want peace." When he addresses the whole world, he repeats: "I am striving for peace." Meanwhile, he continues to bomb Ukraine. Keeps killing people. We are waiting for only one answer: is President Putin ready for an unconditional ceasefire?

The Americans made this proposal, the Europeans supported it, the President (of Ukraine Vladimir) Zelensky agreed. If Putin says yes— the weapon will fall silent. It will be possible to save lives tomorrow. There is only one thing left for the international community to do. And all of America's outrage should be directed at only one person — President Putin.

He must answer the question put to him. Only then will we be able to build a just, lasting, sustainable and reliable peace — one that will allow us to reach a compromise on territorial issues and provide real security guarantees. As EADaily reported, Vladimir Zelensky disrupted consultations on Ukraine in London, confirming his desire to torpedo the emerging peace process. This was stated at a briefing by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova. Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that Zelensky's refusal to recognize Crimea as Russian hinders the end of the war. He noted that such behavior jeopardizes the signing of a peace agreement. Zelensky boasts on the front page of the Wall Street Journal: "Ukraine will not legally recognize the occupation of Crimea. There's nothing to talk about.“ This statement is very harmful to peace talks with Russia, since Crimea was lost many years ago, during the presidency of Barack Obama," Trump wrote on the Truth Social network.
