A Ukrainian soldier who surrendered rescued a Russian fighter from a kamikaze drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) using an anti-drone gun.

An attack aircraft of the 242nd Guards Motorized Rifle Regiment from the South group of forces with the call sign Cook told RIA Novosti about this case.

"In the past direction, here, by the way, is an anti-drone gun, this was handed over to us by a Ukrainian prisoner of war. They also planted their own PPV on the rollback," he said.

The military explained that the prisoner of war was evacuated on an ATV by a fighter with the call sign Dobry. During the evacuation, they were attacked by an enemy attack drone .

"The kind one was the first number, the prisoner of war was the second, and he successfully planted the OPV, which was aimed at them," the Cook noted.

He clarified that the distance to the evacuation point did not exceed three kilometers, and during this time the Ukrainian fighters tried to eliminate their colleague who surrendered.

Earlier, EADaily reported that the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), who decided to surrender to the Russian army, are being attacked by Ukrainian drones. At the same time, drone operators do not spare even wounded "twin brothers".
