US President Donald Trump's plan for the peaceful settlement of the armed conflict in Ukraine Ukraine will be included in Russian history textbooks. This topic will be taken into account when preparing the next editions, taking into account new historical events.
This was stated to the TASS news agency by the chairman of the Russian Military Historical Society, assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky, who himself is one of the authors of textbooks.
He noted that Trump and his administration are making extraordinary efforts aimed at a reasonable settlement of the conflict on Ukraine.
"In general, those amazing transformations in American domestic politics that we are witnessing now, they will undoubtedly appear on the pages of the textbook of the history of Russia and universal history when the next edition is being prepared. Here we can say that Trump has definitely gone down in history," Medinsky stated.
He added that he had no right to comment on the policy of the American president, but as an observer and as a historian, he concludes that at present "we are living with you in a historical era."
As reported by EADaily, earlier US President Donald Trump in his own Truth Social network expressed the hope that Russia and Ukraine may conclude a peace agreement this week.
