The Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) have begun using aerial bombs with a new version of the Comet module in the special military operation zone (SMO).
A video of the application of new fabs appeared on the Fighterbomber Telegram channel. On the frames of objective control, a bunch of arrival of three aerial bombs on the target was recorded.
According to experts, such efficiency is achieved by protecting the ammunition from the effects of electronic warfare. In addition, the use of the Comet module significantly improves the accuracy of strikes.
The author of the channel notes that the feedback from Russian fighters from the front line about the work of modernized aerial bombs is enthusiastic. In his opinion, the mass use of "Comets" can seriously change the situation on the line of combat contact.
"Having learned how to produce hundreds of them a day, it is possible to redraw the border of Ukraine radically in just a couple of months," the post says.
The Comet modules are satellite navigation equipment developed at the Moscow VNIIRT Progress. The system provides reception of GPS and GLONASS signals even in conditions of active electronic warfare counteraction.
Earlier, EADaily reported that despite the modernization of enemy electronic warfare systems, the effectiveness of the use of Russian planning aerial bombs continues to grow.
