The air defense of Belarus has destroyed 18 aircraft-type drones since the beginning of the year. This was announced on April 13 by the commander of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces Andrei Lukyanovich.
"We have recorded 128 violations of the state border in the airspace. We have had combat use 23 times: our forces on duty destroyed 18 aircraft—type unmanned aerial vehicles," he said.
It also became known that the number of winged scouts along the western borders of Belarus has increased significantly. On some days from the airfields of the Baltic countries and In Poland, the number of departures increases to 12.
Earlier, the Belarusian authorities stated that they constantly record a violation of the air border from Ukraine. At the same time, drones flying into Belarusian territory are either shot down, or information about them is transmitted to the Russian military.
