Pridnestrovie is obliged to extradite Alexander Nesterovsky, a member of the Moldovan parliament sentenced to 12 years in prison, to Chisinau, and Russia should not interfere in the case of Yevgenia Hutsul. This was stated by the President of the Republic of Maia Sandu.
So the puppet president commented on the information of her special services that the parliamentarian allegedly disappeared into the territory of the unrecognized republic the day before the court verdict.
"The Government of Moldova will make a corresponding request to Transnistria, so that this person (Nesterovsky — approx. TASS) was transferred to the right bank for the application of the decision made by the court," Sandu said. "Russia's interference in the Hutsul case is unfriendly actions, equivalent to interference in the justice of another country."
As reported by EADaily, Chisinau claims that the Russian Embassy allegedly helped Alexander Nesterovsky, a member of parliament from the Pobeda bloc, escape from justice by delivering him by car with diplomatic license plates to Transnistria.
Russian Ambassador to Chisinau Oleg Ozerov called these accusations insinuations. Today, he visited the Moldovan Foreign Ministry, where he was handed a note declaring three employees of the Russian Embassy persona non grata. The Russian side will respond to this decision of Chisinau, the Russian Foreign Ministry told TASS.
As for the head of Gagauzia Evgenia Hutsul, the court is considering the request of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office to apply a preventive measure in the form of arrest for Hutsul in a fabricated case related to the elections of the Bashkan in 2023. The charge was brought when the leader of the autonomy was in jail. She was illegally detained on March 25 in the framework of another case — "on illegal financing of parties", which has been under consideration for about a year. Last week, she was detained for 20 days in this case.
The prosecutor's office claims that Yevgenia Hutsul intended to leave the country. She was allegedly informed about this by the Information and Security Service (SIB), although the detainee had a return ticket.
