US President Donald Trump has sharply criticized the authorities of the state of Colorado for his portrait, which was posted in the local Capitol.
The head of the White House expressed his indignation on his own Truth Social social network. The president said that his image was "severely distorted."
"The portrait is deliberately distorted to the point that even I may have never seen such a thing before. The artist also depicted President Obama, and he looks great, but my portrait is the worst," Trump complained.
He called for the painting to be removed and criticized the author of the work, Sarah Boardman. The American leader said that "she must have lost her talent with age."
"In any case, I'd rather not have a portrait than have one," Trump said.
At the same time, he called the governor of Colorado, Jared Polis, a "left-wing radical" and reproached him for being "extremely weak in fighting crime."
As EADaily reported, earlier, US presidential special envoy Steven Witkoff said that he brought Trump a gift from Vladimir Putin — a beautiful portrait of the US president painted by a leading Russian artist.
