Russian Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said he could neither confirm nor deny reports of a telephone conversation between Russian and American leaders Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.
As previously reported by The New York Post, Trump spoke about the discussion on the phone with Putin of the settlement of the conflict on Ukraine.
"What can be said about this news: as the administration in Washington is unfolding its work, there are many different communications. And these communications are conducted through different channels. And of course, against the background of the multiplicity of these communications, I personally may not know something, be unaware of something. Therefore, in this case I can neither confirm nor deny it," the Kremlin spokesman said, answering a question from TASS.
