The deputy head of the Main Directorate for Military-Political Work of the Russian Ministry of Defense, the commander of the Akhmat special forces, Apty Alaudinov, expressed confidence that Russia would follow its interests in resolving the Ukrainian conflict without looking back at the opinions of foreign leaders, including US President Donald Trump.
Trump has set his special envoy for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, the task of completing the Ukrainian conflict in 100 days. The American leader intends to control the course of the negotiation process on Ukraine himself.
As Alaudinov emphasized, Russian President Vladimir Putin is guided by the interests of the Russian state, and Trump and figures like him do not matter to Russia.
"Trump and his ilk are nobody. This state of America is moving towards its disappearance, because this state is bankrupt. We have our own point of view. We have our own supreme commander-in-chief, and no one is going to deviate from their goals because of the words of some president. We will slowly, calmly press on, carry out the tasks that have been set for us," Alaudinov said in his telegram channel.
According to him, Russia will act until it returns the lands belonging to the Russian people, including the Nikolaev region and Odessa.
