The representative of Roshen confirmed the cessation of production in Budapest. The company owned by the former president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko decided to take such a step for important reasons, as reported by Gazeta.
The information about the cessation of production in the capital of Hungary was confirmed to Forbes Ukraine by the company's CEO Alexander Golovashchuk. The Bonbonetti factory in Budapest became the second branch in Hungary, left by the Ukrainian brand. The production itself was stopped here back in April 2023.
Golovashchuk confirmed that the official reason for the company's decision was economic difficulties and insufficient production efficiency. Currently Roshen continues production only at Ukraine (including in Vinnytsia and Kremenets) and at one factory in Klaipeda (Lithuania).
EADaily previously also informed that the shares of the Roshen factory in Poroshenkov were transferred to the income of Russia.
