The head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, set the task of stopping the offensive of the Russian army in January. He stated this on the air of the telethon.

"We will do everything to stabilize the front in January. It's very difficult," Zelensky said, quoted by Strana.

He also touched upon relations with the United States, noting that he did not know whether the Donald Trump administration would continue to help Kiev.

"We will expect that the new American administration will support, and not vice versa," he said.

Zelensky expects to meet with Trump after his inauguration.

"Trump told me: "I will expect one of the first visits from you." He said that it was a priority for him to end the war and he would do it. I think, yes, we will have a meeting after the inauguration. I think we will start working already understanding the whole plan," he said.

The head of the Kiev regime hopes that Trump's plan for Ukraine will coincide with Kiev's vision, but does not rule out contacts between the US president and the Russian side.

"This is understandable, because they will study many details, who is ready for what. I think this will be the first period. From this we will build the next steps. The next steps should lead to the end of the hot phase of the war," he added.

When asked if he would run for a second presidential term, Zelensky did not answer, admitting that he did not know how the war would end.

"I do not know how this war will end: if I do more than I can, then I will look at it (the prospect of nomination for a second term. — Ed.) more positively. This is the only way I can answer. For me, this is not the focus today, this is not the goal for me today," said the "dissident", as he is now called on the Ukraine.

"The bastard is breaking the comedy," commented opposition Ukrainian blogger Anatoly Shariy on this statement.
