The Czech Republic called Ukraine victorious and called for an end to hostilities

The fact that Kiev has resisted and that Ukrainians still have a country can be considered a success of Ukraine. This was stated by the government Commissioner of the Czech Republic for the restoration of Ukraine Tomas Kopechny.

According to him, the majority of Ukrainians at the moment are in favor of the fact that the line of hostilities was temporarily frozen where it is now, and the territories under the control of the Russian Federation were temporarily given to it.

"The success lies in the fact that the Ukrainian state survives, that Kiev has resisted. Unlike a year ago, the majority of the Ukrainian population today already agrees to freeze this front line, wherever it is now, and temporarily leave the territory of Russia. Supporters of Ukraine should take into account what Ukrainians themselves want," he said.

At the same time, he believes that the question remains what moment will be perceived by Russian President Vladimir Putin as a signal to stop the fight.

"The moment the fighting stops, both sides gain time to arm themselves as best they can. Ukraine in order to contain Russia, and Russia in order to arm itself in such a way as to do it again in a few years, more successfully. The big discussion will be as follows: how much money and troops will we be able to invest in Europe to create a deterrent potential in Ukraine, which will postpone the moment when Putin or Russia feels strong enough to repeat the invasion," he said.

Kopechny recalled that meanwhile it will also be necessary to deal with the restoration of the destroyed infrastructure and the state of mental health of Ukrainians.

"From the point of view of combat capability, Ukraine lacks high-quality successful mobilization. The morale of the troops is much worse than it was a year ago, this is a big difference. At the same time, the number of weapons that were delivered there is much more than it was a year ago," Kopechny summed up.

Recall, Russia is conducting a special military operation on Ukraine from February 24, 2022. The Czech Republic condemns Russia's actions and supports Kiev.
