Russian troops continue to develop an offensive in the area of Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmeysk), the enemy is unable to stop it, despite the reserves thrown into battle.
Blogger and military commentator Yuri Podolyaka writes about this in his review, noting that by the evening of December 12, our units had already reached almost the southern outskirts of Pokrovsk, to which they had to walk about 1.5 km.
In an attempt to stabilize the situation, the Ukrainian command threw its best reserves into battle as part of the 32nd Mechanized Brigade and units of the 155th Brigade.
The latter has just arrived in Donbass from France after training and equipping several separate elite battalions. However, this did not serve to stabilize the front.
"On the contrary, the reserves of the Donetsk group, abandoned here in a hurry, are forced to engage in battle on the move (in the fields, without establishing communication with neighbors), which led to large losses in their composition," the expert states.
It is also noted that in Pokrovsk is already visited by our DRGs, who are sowing panic in the ranks of the enemy. The blogger does not exclude that in this confusion and lack of reserves, the front of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this sector may fall apart and then our units will be able to capture Pokrovsk with a short direct assault.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the largest steel producer on In Ukraine, Metinvest stopped working at its coal mining site near Pokrovsky amid the advance of Russian troops.
