The new Russian ballistic missile "Oreshnik" can deliver nuclear charges with a capacity of up to 900 kilotons, and the maximum flight range is 5.5 thousand kilometers. This was reported by the portal Explain.rf.
"In the nuclear version, the Oreshnik can deliver charges with a total capacity of 900 kilotons (45 Hiroshima)," the authors of the telegram channel explain.
At the same time, the time of the rocket's approach from the Kapustin Yar test site to the NATO headquarters in Brussels will be 17 minutes. She will fly to the Ramstein airbase in Germany in 15 minutes, and to the US missile defense base in the Polish Redzikovo — in 11 minutes.
The new missile has a speed of up to Mach 10 (12,380 kilometers per hour) and is capable of carrying a warhead weighing up to one and a half tons. It is possible to shoot down a missile only at the initial stage of flight, so it is launched from a base deep in Russia. After reaching the target, it is impossible to intercept it by any modern means.
