In case of war with Russia, the Bundeswehr has prepared a secret plan of operation codenamed "Germany".
According to the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, the report is an impressive volume of text — up to 1 thousand pages. The document lists infrastructure facilities in Germany that need to be protected in the first place, and also contains a procedure for dealing with "Russia's deterrence measures on NATO's eastern flank."
"Germany will become the center of concentration of tens of thousands, and possibly hundreds of thousands of military personnel, as well as military equipment, food supplies and medicines," the authors of the plan predict.
Berlin wants to form an 800-thousandth army in case of a "Russian invasion of NATO." The document says that Germany is preparing a way to transfer 200 thousand military vehicles through its territory to the border of the eastern flank of NATO. The report also says, citing the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry, that Germans have recommendations on how to prepare for the worst by "increasing their self-sufficiency" with diesel generators or even wind turbines.
Earlier, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius stated the need to prepare for a military conflict with Russia, which allegedly could happen in five years.
