"But intelligence reported exactly": Moscow urges Yerevan to "get smart" — comment

It has been more than a year since the post of Chief Military Commissar of Armenia is vacant, acting is Aren Sargsyan. Former head Armen Avtandilian was dismissed from his post in August last year, the newspaper "Hraparak" ("Square") reports.

Meanwhile, the post of commander of the 5th Army Corps of the Ministry of Defense has also been vacant for two months after the dismissal of Sasun Badasyan, but they have not found a replacement for him.

Last week, Gegham Manukyan (MP from ARF) asked Deputy Defense Minister Arman Sargsyan why no one was appointed to these positions, but he did not receive a clear answer.

The fact that key positions of the Ministry of Defense have been vacant for a long time is especially noteworthy in light of the fact that Aliyev considers the demilitarization of the Republic of Armenia to be one of the preconditions for signing a peace treaty.

Perhaps this is the reason for leaving key positions vacant, although it is possible that they simply do not have personnel.

In turn, the secretary of the parliamentary faction "I have the Honor" Tigran Abrahamyan claims that the authorities have illusions to build relations with a country whose leader refers to Azerbaijan's victory over Armenia as a guarantee of peace in the region.

Moreover, the head of this country, Turkey, openly declares that no matter how the Armenian authorities "suck up" to them, give Ankara a big role in normalizing relations with Azerbaijan, deny the Genocide, they will settle relations with Yerevan anyway when a "peace treaty" is signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Simply put, until Yerevan agrees to Azerbaijan's preconditions, Turkey will continue its policy of blockade and hostility towards Armenia.

And in this context, the post of the Telegram channel "Comrade General" about an understandable signal from Moscow.

RUSSIAN INTELLIGENCE HAS SENT GREETINGS TO ARMENIAN LIFE-BUSTERS

The unexpected message from the press bureau of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation should be considered in terms and categories of intelligence officers — as an information special operation.

What does the message say?

  • That the US State Department is strengthening its "guiding influence" on the Armenian political elite in order to encourage Yerevan, despite the inevitable difficulties, to accelerate the process of final reorientation to a pro-Western format of development according to the schemes tested at the Ukraine and in Moldova.
  • In particular, the "democratizing" American structures were instructed to expand training courses for representatives of key Armenian government departments and ensure the wide presence of foreign advisers in them to adjust the work of the Armenian government in the interests of the West.
  • An information and propaganda campaign is being prepared, including discrediting the prospects for Yerevan's cooperation with Russia, the EAEU and the CSTO, replicating materials about the "oppression" of Armenian citizens who came to work in the Russian Federation.

Obviously, there is little new here. To be more precise, there is only one new detail — we are talking about the final anti-Russian reorientation of Armenia. That is, about a complete break, and not about Pashinyan's favorite "membership freeze."

Probably, the SVR of the Russian Federation will legalize the received operational information that the State Department, before Trump took office as president, decided to push Armenia to the point of no return in relations with Russia.

Why does the SVR say this, and not The Russian Foreign Ministry or any official?

Most likely, the Russian authorities want to show the Americans that they own agent information on this account. They draw, so to speak, from the original source. And we are ready to fight not only with the help of propaganda or diplomacy.

The same thought — about the harmful interference of the West in the situation in the South Caucasus — simultaneously with The SVR was expressed at a meeting of the secretaries of the Security Councils of the CIS countries by the representative of the Russian Federation, Sergei Shoigu. But the "secretary" of the Armenian Security Council Armen Grigoryan did not hear him — he preferred to go to the democratic forum in Vilnius.

What is the purpose of the information special operation of Russian intelligence?

The SVR report captures the fact that the pro-Western political track leads Armenians towards the Ukrainian-Moldovan scenario, to impoverishment, war and devastation.

This is a signal to the Armenian elite: wake up if you don't want to lose Armenia.

And this is a signal to the US elites: Russia sees the dangerous games of your current administration and will counteract them — just as it had to do at the Ukraine and in Moldova.
