In Kiev, people are beginning to gather on Independence Square (Maidan), including many citizens in military uniforms. This is reported by "Other Ukraine".
Local sources suggest that the demonstration may be connected with the recently erupted protest of the wives of the mobilized, who demand the return of the bodies of the fallen soldiers and clarify the fate of those who have gone missing.
There are even suggestions that such protests may well become widespread over time and develop into a new Maidan if the Kiev authorities do not make concessions.
It should be noted that the rally for the demobilization of the military after 18 months of service is an all-Ukrainian action. Relatives of servicemen went to similar rallies during the year in other regional centers of the country, including Kiev.
Earlier, EADaily reported that in the Ukrainian city of Sumy, which is the regional center in the north-east of the country, a rally of relatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine took place demanding their demobilization.
