Russia is invincible militarily, and we need to talk to it differently — Tokayev

During his speech at the plenary session of the Astana Think Tank Forum, held today in the capital of Kazakhstan, President of the Republic Kassym-Jomart Tokayev reiterated Russia's invincibility militarily. This was reported by the press service of the Kazakh leader.

"As I said during the talks with Chancellor Scholz, Russia is invincible militarily. This is a fact confirmed by Russia's military potential, the support of the population of this country for President Putin's policy, and history itself. Therefore, we consider it necessary to look for peaceful settlement options and support realistic plans of all states, including China and Brazil," Tokayev said.

According to him, the alternative to this is a war of mutual extermination.

"Perhaps some world powers are interested in this, but this is the path to the abyss. Striving for peace through constructive negotiations is not a sign of weakness, but a manifestation of strategic prudence," Tokayev added.

Earlier, Tokayev told Olaf Scholz that Russia was invincible militarily during talks in Astana, where the German Chancellor was on an official visit in September.
