The CSTO discussed the need for the deployment and use of Collective Rapid Reaction Forces (CRF) in Central Asia. This was reported by the press service of the organization's headquarters.
"The issues of preparing proposals for the deployment and use of the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces of the CSTO in the Central Asian region of collective security are being worked out in the period from September 3 to 4 during the joint training of the joint staff and the CSTO secretariat in Moscow on the basis of the Crisis Response Center. Operational groups of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan are participating in joint training via videoconference," said CSTO spokesman Vladislav Shchegrikovich.
According to him, according to the training situation, the president of one of the organization's member states appealed to the Collective Security Council of the CSTO with a request for military and military-technical assistance to resolve the crisis situation.
Currently, as part of the training, the CSTO forces are working out algorithms for the actions of working bodies and operational groups of the member states of the organization to respond to crisis situations. The draft decisions will form the basis for application during the command and staff exercises "Interaction-2024", special exercises "Search-2024" and "Echelon-2024" on the territory of Kyrgyzstan.
