A military camp for the German brigade will be built in Lithuania near the border with Belarus. This was reported in the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense.
It is stated that this will be "the largest military infrastructure in the history of Lithuania." The town will be located at the Rudninkai landfill, which is located in the Shalchininksky district bordering Belarus.
It is noted that the training ground will become the main one for the training of the Bundeswehr brigade, which will be transferred to Lithuania over the next few years, and the full deployment will be completed by 2027. It will consist of about 5 thousand military personnel and support personnel.
It should be recalled that Minsk has repeatedly stated that the policy of NATO countries is aggressive. The Belarusian authorities are constantly urging the West to sit down at the negotiating table, but so far there has been no response.
