On Tuesday, April 10, nine members of Nord vessel crew were sent to interrogation at Ukraine’s Security Service under criminal case filed against the vessel captain, said Anna Sheveleva, the spokesperson of the Kerch May 1 Fishery Farm.
“The crew was taken to USS in Kherson for interrogation. More details will become available alter,” TASS quotes Sheveleva as saying.
Earlier, EADaily reported that Nord vessel crew tried to leave the territory of Ukraine for Crimea twice. However, despite Kiev’s guarantees, Ukraine’s frontier guards did not let them pass to Crimea for lack of Ukrainian passports.
To recap, Kherson Court ruled arresting the vessel captain until May 31, allowing for a bailment in the amount of 35,250 UAH.
The Nord vessel with a Russian crew onboard was detained by Ukrainian border guards on March 25. The vessel was transported to Berdyansk and the crew was banned from leaving the vessel.
