FSB head says six terror acts prevented in Russia

Since the beginning of the year, the Russian Federal Security Service has prevented from six terror attacks being preparedю In particular, terror acts were planned to be performed at polling stations in Ingushetia and Bashkiria during the presidential election, and in a shopping mall in Saratov, Director of the Russian Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov announced at a meeting of the National Anti-Terror Committee on April 10.

According to him, there were three crimes of terror nature in the first three months of the year: in Dagestan, Khabarovsk Krai and Sakhalin Region.

The director of the Federal Security Service added that activities of 12 terror units were suppressed in Russia since the beginning of the year. Overall, 189 militants were detained, 15 militants and their accomplices were neutralized.
