Speaker of the South Ossetian parliament Anatoly Bibilov has received most of the votes at the presidential election held in the country on April 9. These are results of the voting at polling stations in South Ossetia except for the stations that were opened in North Ossetia and in Dzau District.
To win the race, a candidate needs 50% plus one vote.
Current President Leonid Tibilov received 30% of the votes, while KGB officer Alan Gagloyev has 11.1%.
1.52% of the electorate voted against all candidates. Final results are to be announced within five days.
