The Russian police are searching for a 19-year-old student of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. Her name is Mariam Ismailova, she is reported missing since June 12. Supposedly, she made an attempt to join the ISIS.
Her family believes she followed the way of Varvara Karaulova, a student of Moscow State University, who also tried to join ISIS, reports LifeNews.
“By now we have learnt that she had her foreign passport issued, keeping it secret from everybody, took the salary from her work and went to the airport. From the Sheremetyevo Airport she flew to Istanbul,” Ismailova’s father said.
Press office of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration has confirmed to EADaily that Ismailova is a second-year student of the academy, but could provide no further details.
Ismailova has not been put on the international wanted list yet.
As EADaily reported earlier, Varvara Karaulova from Moscow State University tried to enter ISIS. She was detained when crossing the Turkish border with Syria and sent home.
