Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) reconnaissance reports Ukraine’s Armed Forces fortifying the positions on the line of engagement and shifting troops closer to it, Eduard Basurin, deputy commander of the DPR Defense Ministry corps, said today, on May 11.
“According to our reconnaissance units, Ukraine’s Armed Forces continue fortifying their positions both along the line of engagement and in the rear, continue shifting combat-efficient units and military hardware to the line of engagement, which confirms that they are preparing for combat action," Basurin said.
He said Ukraine’s Armed Forces intensively fired at Shirokino and Bezymennoe villages in Novoazovsk, DPR, overnight using D-30 howitzers, mortars and tanks.
“Shirokino and Bezymennoe villages were subjected to intensive artillery shelling and mortaring. They used D-30 120mm artillery weapons – 50 bursts, tanks – 33 shots, 120mm and 82mm mortars – 81 shots,” Basurin said.
