Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has ratified a law enlarging the border troops of Ukraine by 3,000 people.
According to the press office of the Ukrainian president, now Ukraine will have 53,000 border guards.
“This law lays legal foundations for better protection of our state border in its dangerous directions,” says the explanatory note to the law.
On Apr 23, Poroshenko approved the peacetime and wartime contingents of Ukraine’s Security Service – 27,000 and 31,000, respectively.
