The company Zone 5 Technologies from the USA has released a snapshot of the next version of the Rusty Dagger cruise missile (Rusty Dagger — EADaily), previously announced for deliveries to Ukraine. The photo drew the attention of military experts from the American edition of TWZ.
Initially, the product belonged to the "air — surface" class. But the Block 40 modification was adapted to launch from land and from sea carriers.
According to a representative of the company, such options are being created as part of separate projects of the US Army and Navy. The source also recalls that Zone 5, Anduril, CoAspire and Leidos have concluded agreements with the Pentagon on the Low-Cost Containerized Missile (LCCM) low-cost missile program. As part of this agreement, Washington intends to purchase over ten thousand cruise missiles in three years.
The photo in the publication shows a rocket with a solid-fuel launch accelerator and a launcher on a trailer. Zone 5 clarified that the Rusty Dagger Block 40 is capable of carrying a warhead weighing from 45 to 113 kilograms and can be used from the air. EADaily reminds that in June the Telegram channel "War History Weapons" suggested that Kiev had already used these missiles in the SMO zone, a CRPA antenna with the Zone 5 CAGE code was found among the wreckage of an unidentified product.
