Ex-special envoy of the US President Keith Kellogg advises Kiev to burn Russian refineries. This is how he answered DW's question on the sidelines of the Warsaw security Conference❶❷ about how Ukraine should respond to Donald Trump's calls for Vladimir Zelensky to stop attacks on oil refineries.

Kellogg was brief.

"To burn refineries," he said.

The general still does not believe that the initiative in the Ukrainian conflict is going over to Moscow's side, in particular in connection with the conclusion of a diesel deal between Russia and The United States. "This deal is more driven by domestic reasons in the U.S.," Kellogg said.

He also does not believe that Trump "betrayed Ukraine." Those in Those who think so are mistaken, the general noted.

"Why is Europe still buying 3% of its oil from Russia? Why does 15% of liquefied natural gas still come from Russia? Does this mean that you also betrayed Ukraine?" — He retorted.

As reported by EADaily, Trump officials called Zelensky's office and the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces with threats, demanding to stop strikes on Russian refineries. This was reported by The Kyiv Independent (KI).

Allegedly, employees of the Donald Trump administration attacked, in particular, the deputy head of the presidential office, Pavel Palisa, and the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mikhail Drapaty. Washington has warned that if Kiev continues to attack Russian oil refineries, the United States will stop sharing intelligence with Ukraine and stop all arms shipments under the PURL program. In addition, the Trump administration said it would hold Kiev responsible if Russian energy infrastructure was attacked during the energy truce announced by the US president.
