The Lithuanian Foreign Ministry issued a loud warning to Belarus

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania handed a protest note to the charge d'affaires of Belarus with a warning. This is reported by the Lithuanian media.

The Lithuanian Foreign Ministry stressed that this incident poses a direct threat to the safety of civil aviation. It was necessary to introduce temporary restrictions on the use of airspace, which affected civilian flights and disrupted passenger transportation plans.

"Lithuania considers this and other similar cases recorded in recent months as systematic hybrid actions that pose a threat to national security, " the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The representative of Belarus was required to " immediately ensure effective control over the border, take effective measures to combat organized crime related to smuggling and take other necessary steps".

"In case of recurrence of such incidents, Lithuania reserves the right to take additional measures to ensure the security of the state border, airspace and civil aviation, " the Lithuanian ministry said.
