Russia is allegedly preparing strikes on the countries of Southern Europe, which will be carried out by "Gerbera" drones, starting from the ships of the shadow fleet in The Mediterranean Sea. Such data was allegedly received by the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and notified the governments of European states, the Spanish newspaper El Mundo reports.

" They will use drones launched from the sea and hidden in cargo containers. It's not difficult at all", a source close to the Lithuanian Defense Ministry told the newspaper on condition of anonymity.

According to British military analyst Keir Giles, such "potential attacks may be aimed at blocking the operation of airports, provoking fires, conducting reconnaissance over military facilities or to demonstrate that Russia is capable of striking at the European rear ".
