Germany should resume the operation of "Nord Streams" and abandon LNG terminals. This was stated at an election event in Neubrandenburg, Mecklenburg—Vorpommern, co-chairman of the "Alternative for Germany" party (AfD) Tino Krupalla.
The broadcast was conducted on his account in the social network X.
" We must — and we want — to maintain good relations with Russia in the future. And especially here, in Mecklenburg—Vorpommern, we have it literally at our side: Lubmin, where, in fact, the "Nord Stream" pipelines go. We want to launch "Nord Stream" again," said Krupalla, quoted by RIA Novosti.
Germany needs "cheap gas again ", he stressed. When "Nord Stream" is resumed, LNG terminals located in the region will not be needed either. "But what else have they done with Mecklenburg—Vorpommern? LNG terminals have been stuck there, which are buzzing all day, which is why residents are outraged", said Krupalla.
He also criticized the Prime Minister of the land, Manuela Schwesig, and the SPD for their position on the "Nord Stream".
As reported by EADaily, the "Alternative for Germany" party plans to discuss the resumption of Russian gas supplies with a representative of the Russian president. The meeting is scheduled for next year.
